This is a great value. I am very happy with my MR1200. My entire system is plugged into it (see signature below). What really surprised me is that even my digital amp improved (sound got much more expansive and 3D), given that the designer himself was skeptical (it has a built-in power filter).
Given the price difference, it seems to be a no-brainer to get an MR1200 over the MR800. Size is the same but you get 50% more power handling and, more importantly, headroom since transformers don't like it be pushed to their limit.
I've also got 2 Noisehound Mk 3s. One is plugged into my Music Ring. Another is plugged into my kitchen (the idea is to kill noise a the source, and I've got several noisy electrical appliances there.. fridge, wine fridge, microwave, an oven, washer, dryer). I believe they are $110/each, $200 for 2.
