The site suggests I introduce myself, so here I be
I live in Florida and a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I used to be in the audio business. I designed a few speakers, an amp circuit, and worked for a company you may have heard of, JL Audio.
Having designed so many sound systems for homes, cars, boats, planes, trains, and automobiles, I am a little bit spoiled, and can't settle for just Bose sound. So I still like to read about stereos, it gives me ideas for my own systems, and reminds me of things I've long since forgotten. I'm not in the A/V business anymore, I'm just a hobbyist. All da Rap music skeered me away! I do help friends and family with their systems sometimes (depends on my mood!).
One fallout from this addictive hobby - I have a closet full of audio gear. I think I need to go on that Egay thing!
I'm also a bit of a smarty pants (ya think?!). But down deep, I'm a real nice guy. Maybe
I'm not really bad, just drawn that way!
What brought me to this board is GR-Research...... I was looking for kit speakers for friends and family, and I like Danny's offerings, the A/V series speakers... they appear to be a great bang-for-the-buck.
