Anybody have any experience with Grant Fidelity? Particularly their TS845...

They look like they make good stuff but haven't read too much about them or their customer service.

Experience with GF yes.  I bought one of their TubeDAC-11's around 2 years ago.

Good customer service in my experience.  They were responsive to a few queries I had.

No specific insights about the piece you reference though.

I assume you know this but I don't think they actually make anything. They import goods from China ( some with their name on it but any importer can do that.)

Anything I've heard ( on Canadian sites ) has been positive.

I have purchased tubes from them and they really stand behind what they sell. Had a tube noise issue and Rachel had a new pair sent to me, even though it was beyond the 90 day warranty period.

Yeah, I've had my eye on that one for a while. Was kinda hopin someone would have snatched it up already to take away the temptation.

Well that's nice to hear.

I've purchased 2 TubeDac 11's and many vacuum tubes from Rachel at GF without issue. Unfortunately, it seems the only way to audition either the Grant Fidelity or Melody in your system would be to buy one of them. Both have solid reputations, but one is new with a warranty.  Melody on the other hand has a pretty solid track record both in reliability and sound. Both would probably be outstanding amps. The Melody had an orig. list of $7500 vs $4500 for the Psvane. I'm stumped, tough call, but I'd certainly at least e-mail the Melody seller. My gut tells me that might be the one, but........ :|

A few years back, prior to Psvane became an entity, we were approached by Shuguang to test their very first 845 integrated amp due to us being Melody distributor.

They wanted us to also distribute their new electronics.
Since it's been a long while, I can't recall if Melody built those for Shuguang.

In any case, after a few hours of listening, I returned the amp to them and told them to stick with making tubes since that's what they are good for.

I am not sure if GF ended up carrying those since GF was involved with Shuguang back then.

I have never heard these new Psvane amp so I am kind of interred to see how they sound.

A potential buyer of that Melody AN845 will need to make sure it was originally bought from us so in case of needed service, we can help.

bought a number of pvanes from them. when they became noisy a few weeks later they refused
to honor the warentee. if you buy tubes from them, dont sit on them. must try them all right away, as their warrentee starts the date of purchase, and not the day they are received. they will not honor warentee
one day past due date. they gave me some story as to how long it will take to ship them back to china, and the mfg will not honor warentee due to the long shipment time. will never purchase from them again.....

Net Weight: 46kg / 101lbs
46Kg is a good weight to a 845 Stereo amp, it may have good transformers.
Too bad the 845 is a commercial/expensive tube.

I researched Grant Fidelity and some of their products about 3 years ago. They have a good rep for customer service. And, as noted, all or most of their products are produced in China. Some of their DACs were said to have great bang for the buck. I've never owned one. I did email them with questions about a product and they were quick to reply.

Good luck, Tommy.
