If this has some basis, TIDAL jumping on MQA wont have come a moment too soon.

If true I really hope Roon will support it. Spotify is SO much better then tidal. I put up with tidal because of Roon intagration but like Spotify better.

Why is that? (I currently use Spotify Premium with PiCore Player, thought about upgrading to Tidal)

This is great news as I prefer Spotify to Tidal. I switch Tidal on occasion for a month or 2 just for lossless but always come back to Spotify! I like the UI much better and enjoy their Discover Weekly feature which has turned me on to music I would never have heard about.

Lots of reasons.  Mostly how new stuff is presented to you.  On Spotify you get the weekly new stuff and it makes that weekly playlist based on you listening.
Tidal keeps the same crappy HOT 98 style pop at the top all the time.  I'm not sure what needs to be done to get in the "new" album section but its very biased.
Beyonce's new album was at the top of the "new" section for a year.  I find stumbling into new to me cool shit less likely in Tidal.  With Spotify I was finding new stuff contently.
MVHO YMMV

Spotify's UI on both PC and mobile is phenomenon. The curated playlists are better. The database is also better on Spotify.

Exactly my thoughts as well. If Spotify would go lossless and integrate seamlessly with Roon, I'd be all in and dump Tidal.

I half ass dumped TIDAL last night when my credit card # was stolen I didn't bother putting the new card in Tidal.  I'm curious to see if I can do without.
