Eastern Taiwan Air BnB in-room audio system

My wife and I are spending two nights in a BnB in Hualien. We got a special rate since this is off season - just $80 per night! The owner is an audiophile who loves Jazz.

The tube amp is Danyun Audio Model 6. Speakers are Usher Dancer Mini-X DMD. Sweet sounds!

Love it.  Some excellent local talent there with the Usher kit.

You're very near Taroko Gorge, a fun tourist area too.

Hi, guys.

We spent the previous two nights in Taroko National Park. We slept in the old Catholic Church Hostel. Talk about basic accommodation.. $32.00 USD per night included rock hard queen bed, hot water from 6 pm till 10 pm and all the hot and room temperature drinking water you want.

This BnB is 5 star in comparison. Oh, get this. There is no one else in this BnB - not even the owner. The owner belonged to an association that my wife belonged to thirty years ago, so he trusts us to behave. Oh, yeah.

I'm sitting in the living room listening to a Cheryl Crow CD on the entry level system (SS amp, cheap disc player and entry level Usher S-520 5" two-way monitors. It sounds okay, but nothing like the Mini-X pair upstairs.

We ate Sushi/Sashimi for dinner in Hualien followed by a killer foot massage.

Life is good!

Glad you are enjoying your trip Michael!

More hotels should offer an "Audiophile" suite, that way we can relax to some nice sounding music during down time while on trips.  Foot massages just puts it over the top.   :thumb:
