Guys,

Do any of you have any experience with Sophia 300b tubes? Was considering JJ, Gold Lion or BT but have heard that the Sophia are much better. Would love to hear your experiences.

I just got a pair of their new(ish) Classic 300B's and they are fantastic. Previously have used JJ and Shuguang WE replica's. These are really organic tubes.  Also, Sue at Sophia has been terrific to deal with!

Currently using the mesh plates and have been generally pleased with the sound.  These have a great top end, clear and extended in my SET.  Best of 4 different pairs I'v tried over 8 years that include JJ, Shuguangs, and Sophia solids.  Only tube to outperform them in my limited experience is a set of KR which I've salted away.

Limited experience with 300Bs.  I started with the EHs, then I tried the Sophia Royal Princess, I preferred the EH by a narrow margin. I have since gone with the Elrogs and have been very pleased, they check all of the right boxes for me, really outstanding.  I have been considering the EML mesh plates but am in no hurry as long as the Elrogs are still kicking. 

These have all been driven by my Bottlehead Kaiju.

Thanks for your responses, much appreciated! I'm leaning toward the Sophias mesh plates since my LM appears to have Shuguang type 300b installed and an upgrade should be quite substantial.

Hopefully the Sophias are reliable.
