Selling a pair of Emerald Physics CS3 speakers. The CS3 is critically acclaimed for its transparency and ability to simulate as "live" a performance as possible from two point source speakers. The level of depth and accuracy is unbelievable. A lot of this is accomplished through a custom programmed Behringer DCX2496 DSP that tailors the frequency response, time delay, and other magical settings to closely match room dynamics. Speakers should be placed at least 2 feet from any wall.
For full range response, these speakers should be coupled with a powered sub (or two) for an incredible experience. If you want to just MELT and listen to music (after setting up the DSP and trusting in its technical prowess) these are the speakers for you. Note, these are one of the last *original* Emerald Physics speakers developed but the original designer, Clayton Shaw, before Walter Liederman bought the company changed the design and components used.
These speakers retailed for $3500 with the optional wood finish.
These are 8/10 condition. I have the plastic covers, spikes, DSP, box and manual for the DSP and the packaging for the Selenium tweeters, but I do not have the boxes/crates for the speakers themselves. The wood finish is excellent, the stands are excellent, the DSP doesn't have a mark on it. Comes with a set of Monoprice XLR/RCA cables to get you started.
Offering them for $1200 or best reasonable offer, BOSTON, MA or LOCAL AREA ONLY. NO SHIPPING.
Demos can be arranged for serious buyers.
A review for your reading enjoyment:
http://www.stereotimes.com/speak032912.shtmlSpecifications (Seller Note: The manufacturer specifies 32Hz bass response with the DSP. The DSP is pre-programmed with a very sharp 48 db/octave cutoff at approx 100 Hz. You will need a subwoofer to get bass below 100 Hz. I would not recommend these speakers without at least one subwoofer.) :
