Hey now, I just recently joined Facebook because I was workin in San Diego for a few months.

The advantage of a closed group is we can post event info with phone numbers, and it has a limited viewership. This is a significant concern for people hosting events, as we don't want the world showing up.

Or we can have an open group and not post events, which is kinda strange.
