I enter this circle for very greedy purposes! That is, to tap the valuable knowledge base here and try to figure out some of the many things that I do not know about playing with audio electronics. As experience is gained I hope to become less greedy and return favors as well as share forward.
I have spotty knowledge of general audio things, all developed informally through reading and trial/error. I have had reasonably good successes repairing a couple Marshall valve amps, trouble shooting an old MiG welder, wiring my shop and duly declaring an old generator dead. I know how to turn on a VOM and, more memorably, what it feels like to get shocked.
Please be patient if I seem a little dense, My town hosts 5 superfund sites and we regularly drink the water that flows through the old Cornell Dubilier plant.
