Upgrading from 3Bsst2 to Cubed. 3B or 4B?
« on: 2 Apr 2016, 08:42 pm »
In my current setup, my 3B SST2 has more than enough power.  However, I plan to move up to the Cubed series.  The new 3B has more power than my current one.  But, the 4B is only $700 more.  I just don't think I will every need that much power in my 12x14 listening room.

Opinions?  Anyone compared the new Cubed 3B and 4B?

I thought that too. I had a 9B-SST2 and upgraded to the 4B-SST2 and 6B-SST2. I was happier with more power, especially at lower volumes!

Even if that doesn't seem like results you'd see/need/want, I would guess that the 4B3 will have an easier time selling on the used market than the 3B3 (should you ever want to upgrade).

Always do more power. Especially at that modest price difference. Any future speaker upgrade will be worry-free with max power reserve.
