Welcome. How do you like the Yamaha integrated?
I've had the A-S500 in the past and now the A-S501. The difference being the 501 has the built in DAC. As to the DAC, I'm indifferent and trying to not get too skewed by some of the reviews which felt it was a bit less "dynamic" and sounded a bit flat. Though, it might be a good pairing for the Focal 807V speakers. I did incorporate a new DAC into the mix this weekend though - a Peachtree DAC-ITx. Needless to say, I'm flipping back and forth and trying to decipher capabilities, sound differences, etc. Also, this past weekend, I replaced both subs with a pair of SVS SB-1000s, which I'm enjoying a bit more as it's easier to dial in the same subs as opposed to two different brands / models.
To answer your question, though, I like the Yamaha A-S501. Plenty of power for my needs. In the big picture, not sure how it might compare to the Cambridge Audio, NAD or other offerings or even the higher Yamaha models. I found mine used, and the price was right.
