Spacial Audio M-3
« on: 29 Oct 2015, 01:02 pm »
There is way to much   Misinformation out there. Clayton from Spacial audio was the original
At Emerald physics . He has worked researching the Master Linguists. For  20 years off and on.
He now is using  a very good compression driver and working directly with Eminence driver company
Have a fantastic Loudspeaker.  There are 3 options each one clearly makes it better rounding.
The stock basic M-3 will go down to about  32-34 Hz in room at 4 ohms 3 ohm min .very tube friendly 94 db efficient, it is a very easy load
And minimal 2ND  order Passive Xovers.  The 2 nod option brings the price around $2k capacitor upgrade and
WBT connectors, more detail and a bit more full and fleshed out  sounding as well as better detail.
The last is $600 more $2595 the Driver has a Special Titanium Nitrate costing that makes it very close to Beryllium 3-4 x more stiff and very pis tonic in operation . Which brings any breakup beyond the 25 kHz point .
This loudspeaker is very room friendly actually away the wall the more tuneful the was.
Several reviews are in process I am told. I watched the Utube Newport Beach show video
Info applies to M1-3 speakers hope that helps .

I am very interested in these speakers.  Fortunately I live in Salt Lake city and plan to visit Spatial audio soon for a listen.
Thank-you

I just got finished upgrading my M3s toM3turboS, and though Clayton said the differences would be "incremental", I found them to be very large indeed.  After I had the M3s a month, I loved them but felt the upper end could use a little help, so I had them converted to m3turboS.  WOW!!  I dont know all the terms, but I will say these are by far the best speakers I have owned, which included big Maggies and B+Ws.  I drive them with a 35wpc tube amp, and it is a combo made in heaven.  As far as being efficient, I replaced montior audio speakers, supposed to be very effecient, but the M3s get much louder with very little amp power.  They sound excellent at all volumes, and their waf is off the wall.  I am 66 years old, and for the first time ever I feel I will never need another speaker system( or amplifier)  Don't walk, run and get these!  at $2600, they are just stupid good.  Thanks Clayton, for making this type sound available to shleps like me!

I am feeling the same way about my M4's. Glad you're as pleased as I am.   :thumb:

I think I am going to have a hard time deciding which speaker (M3 or M4) I want to buy. I do eventually plan to Bi-amp them in the future.
