Another coincidence!  I worked at Sight 'n Sound in Bel Air in the 70s.  They later opened the Discerning Ear on the NE side for Balmer.

I'm originally from Towson and remember events at Discerning Ear. One was an Audio Technica cartridge/TT clinic and one was a speaker clinic given by Roy Allison. I remember an attendee telling Mr. Allison, "Your speakers sound very real." He replied drily, "Thank you. That's how they are supposed to sound."

That's funny!  The principal audio salesman at Sight 'n Sound/The Discerning Ear was Eric Church.  He REALLY knew his stuff and also had a way of eviscerating people who made stupid comments.  Was kinda fun to watch!
