I was just contemplating albums that were somewhat overlooked at the time that really look like classics in retrospect. One that really strikes me is Nonsuch by XTC. Skylarking was on many critics Best of the Month and Best of the Year lists, but IMO Nonsuch is even better. Apple Venus Vol 1 is really brilliant as well.
What albums do you folks think were unjustly overlooked gems?
