This may be an old topic, but I couldn't find any posts when I searched.  Probably used the wrong querry.  

I would like to find something simple/basic to catalog my music.  Don't particularly care about the "extras" like pictures and liner notes, just the basics, title, group, genre, release year with some sort of internet lookup so that I don't have to type everything myself.

Appreciate any suggestions especially if it is freeware or at least inexpensive

I tried the demo of Orange CD and it seemed to do the job. That was at least a year ago. I didn't register it at the time but I can't recall the reason why.  

Might be worth checking out.
