This Axiom II had an additional set of RCA outputs (they drive my subs channel), as well as the Caddock resistors installed by Luminous Audio. It was ordered with a 2v output. The unit cost $220 new. It is in mint condition. The company’s website contains a thorough explanation of the design. There is some good stuff there. Once the Axiom II preamp is installed, if you don’t like the sound of your stereo system, it is probably not the fault of the preamp. This passive device is so clean, transparent and natural, it is easy to close your eyes and believe that you are sitting front and center. On my system, this revelation of detail was the result of this passive device. You like to hear the pick on a guitar string? How about discerning the difference between whether the string is nylon or steel! Yeah, it’s the truth.
