I've admired Chris Sommovigo's cable designs, and have owned his Black cat Silverstar digital and usb cables and found them to be the bargains of digital cables, competing with much pricier fare. I bought this pair of Neo-Morpheus ICs, and they are also value stars. Using custom copper tube conductors, and in Chris' words "NeoMorpheus improves upon the original Morpheus design by adding two more interstitial layers inside the cable: an additional shielding layer and an additional Aeron™ layer of insulation. These help with additional mechanical damping of the cable, aside from the benefits of having a secondary shield for noise rejection. New on the interconnect is our latest RCA design, which trickles down several of the features from my Xhadow RCA designs into a connector that costs 10% of Xhadow’s RCA while delivering 90% of its design benefits."
They sound great- fast, clean wide range and uncolored, with excellent soundstage presentation. I'm pretty sure there are none better overall for the $. List was $195. I'm not sure they are still available.
I've changed this system to balanced cables and don't have a use for these.
