Sorry for asking so many questions...

Noticed that both my new and old hard drives get rather warm, and the seatool software I have been using to test it shows temperatures that doesn't make sense (several hundred degrees C).

Any other decent programs to check HDs that you recommend? HDSentinal has perhaps more features that I want to pay for right now.

I use CrystalDiskInfo, mostly for its S.M.A.R.T. information reporting, but it also shows drive temperatures. Free.

Thanks JEaton. Installed it and my SSD and old HD shows temp below 40C but the new drive shows it as 139 as recorded in C2. Sent customer support an email since two tools report high. Maybe the temp for that drive starts the count at 100???

139? Must be a firmware bug surely...

OK - I got it sorted and I think it really just was the translation calculation on the smart that didn't pick it up correctly. Anyway, I got a new drive just to make sure. I have been very happy so far - good & pretty fast for its size.

I actually ordered 2 more today so I will have 3 x 4 TB. I haven't decided yet if RAID or not.

BTW: The price is starting to come down. Here's one deal via Newegg business (anyone can sign up for a business account) for $150: http://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-22-145-912
