I am selling a mint pair of
Omega RS7 Alnico Monitors. These feature the same, big-monitor cabinet as the top of the line Alnico Hemp Monitors, but feature the RS7 driver with an alnico motor for added resolution and tone quality.
Louis of Omega is the consummate craftsman and these are absolutely stunning. My wife has never commented on a single piece of gear I've brought in to the house but she looked at these and said, "Wow, those are really pretty."
The pictures don't do them justice. On the Audiogon scale these are a no-brainer 9/10 - virtually perfect.
These also have upgraded "propeller" tellurium binding posts, which are
very nice.
This is my first pair of single-driver speakers and in my system, the synergy just isn't there. But the previous owner sold his high end Harbeth monitors when he heard this very pair and sold these to me because he was so eager to trade up to the high-end Alnico XRS towers.
$1500 gets you the speakers and a pair of inexpensive, 16" MDF "starter stands" to get you going.
