Up for sale is my Music Reference RM 200 mkii, purchased in early 2013 with KT120 tubes and optional hand-wound transformers. It's in like new condition, tubes have no more than 500 hours, works great, no issues, original owner, etc. I originally purchased this amplifier after extensive in-home comparison with my CAT JL2 amplifier, with concluded that the RM200ii was faster ("lighter on its feet"), imaged better and had no "mid-bass bloat" in comparison to the CAT. It is also a heck of a lot easier to maintain (less tubes overall, and if a tube were to blow, Musical Reference has all the data for the tubes that go with the unit and can send replacements). Tubes have a long lifespan.
Roger Modjeski is an amazing amp designer. This amp was also recommended by Lucien Pichette at Avalon Acoustics as punching far above its weight class and received a very favorable review by Stereophile (2011). It's amazing how well it drives my Avalon Eidelon Diamonds, all out of such a reasonably sized footprint
I'm asking $3,600, current list is $6400. Will be shipped securely in two boxes (one for amp, one for tubes). Buyer pays shipping and paypal fees (if used). Please feel free to ask questions or let me know if you are interested. Thanks, Peter
