I prefer Carmen's version, she tell's the story while Mick is just busy being Mick Jagger...or am I missing something?

This one comes highly recommended. I had a small problem with the first download I bought, turns out it was entirely my own fault, but head engineer Frans de Rond responded within hours of my complain with a we transfer file. When I realized that the problem I initially had was non existent, I decided that this little company deserved a good write up. It is not often one gets this kind of service.
Carmen Gomes inc. ''Torn"
The two Robert Johnson covers  proves what great songs they are and that you do not have to shout to tell the story of a Robert Johnson song.
The title song Torn is heartbreaking,
and the audio fidelity of this Hi-Res download is of the highest order. Check the sound of the double bass on the introduction to '' Let's go get Stoned'' and the sound of the guitar in ''Train Song''. This is what I call audiophile.

I like the following from Eric Clapton:

However, I do not like this from Big Head Todd and the Monsters:

Personally, I think it's terrible.  I love Big Head Todd, but his voice on this CD is bad in my opinion.  It's so bad I'm thinking of deleting it from my collection.

You might want to check out this Peter Green video on YouTube:

If you like that, check out Green's Johnson box set, very well recorded, which contains a bonus cd of original Robert Johnson recordings.

I think that Carmen does a much better job than Mick, she sings with true emotion.

I agree.
When BB.King was asked; ''Mr. King how can you still sing and fell the blues when you have five Cadillacs parked in your garage?''
He answered; ''I have a good memory''
Maybe Mick forgot.

John Hammond Jr. - an outstanding bluesman

Rory Block - her singing is often without subtlety (is it the recordings?) but it's better here than on some of her other albums. Her slide guitar playing, however, is always fantastic.
