MPS Voltage compatability
« on: 4 Jul 2015, 06:42 am »
Hi All,

Just became a proud first-time Bryston owner with a BP26/ 28SST2 set. Loving the sound so far and contemplating other Bryston components but I have what may be a daft question so apologies in advance:
If I have a 240V MPS, does it matter what voltage BP1.5 I got? The reason I ask is that there are cheaper and more regular second hand 1.5's for sale from 110V North America.

Thanks

Mike Pickett

Like the BP26, the BP1.5 doesn't have a voltage assigned to it, since it always plugs into an external power supply.  Make sure any unit you're looking at has the MPS2 -> BP1.5 cable included, however.

As well, the warranty on a BP1.5 sold in North America will only be valid in North America, so would need to be sent back to us for warranty repairs if needed.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks Mike.

Good to know the warranty's aren't transferable between markets. I'll need to factor this into any cost savings.

Cheers
