Track Bike

Motorcycles have been a part of me since I was a toddler. Fast approaching 65' and don't much care for modern motorcycles so,

My father brought this home in 1970.  There's been quite a few in between.

Nice, looks more modern than antique.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Holy Ring Dings, Batman!  You don't see too many of them still running around these days.
Those old Yamahas were a lot of fun to ride.

Those old Commandos still in the family?

Not considered antique. They're not old enough.

Ah good old Yamaha 2 strokes.  I cut my teeth on the RD/RZ 350's.  I owned a tiny (135cc!) 2 stroke Yamaha in Taiwan as my first street bike there in the mid 90's.

The smell of my weed trimmer always takes me back!

Interesting.  I recall that the Black Widow or Widowmaker was reserved for the RZ500 or the 70's Kawi triple 2 strokes!

I upgraded all my GSXR's to the 1100 6 piston Tokico's back in the day.  That helped a lot, and was a direct bolt on for any of the 750's.

Most RDs have drum brakes, no disc.
The 350LC was the last RD here, the
two stroke models was canceled.

I'm not an RD expert by any means but I did ride an RD400, I think it was, with discs and they worked great.
