Do we have any audio EEs here?

In a ‘pi’ filter with 2 caps connected by a choke, I’ve seen amps with some hi-quality (‘propylene and ‘styrene) capacitance in parallel with the choke.  What’s the purpose of that?

I wish I could answer you from memory, but I can't.  Morgan Jones devotes a couple of pages to this (with graphs) in his book, Valve Amplifiers (third edition).  I am sorry I can't fill in the details - it has been nearly a year since I read it.
