FS: Soundfield Audio M1 Speakers - Sold

Not sure you can get this quality of speaker at this price - selling my used and well reviewed Soundfield Audio Monitor 1 (M1) speakers for (Sold) plus shipping (zip 23226).  Quite a bit of info on these forums about them.  One review: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=109303.0

They are in great condition - no major blemishes or issues (see pics).  They sound like full range speakers despite being monitors.

Each speaker features a 5.5" passive coaxial midwoofer/tweeter and an active 8" long throw subwoofer, powered by it's own 300 watt amplifier.  Original power cords included.

Will reduce price by $50 for local pick-up.  Located in Richmond, VA 23226

Thanks for looking - Lennie

Listening to mine as we speak, still love these things like the first week I had 'em.

If you think you might want a pair, buy these, 'cause mine won't be for sale anytime soon.

I still love my M1s! :thumb:

This is a killer deal.  For that matter, the M1 was a killer deal at full price.  I would snatch these up in a heartbeat if I were in the market for speakers. :D

I think this is the first time I've come across these for sale on the used market.

I'm curious, why are you selling them?

Btw, I'm the author of the referenced review. ;)

I love my pair.  I have had them over 2 years and have not had the upgrade itch at all. Says all u need to know about them. I did have AJ upgrade the caps to mundorf sio's which r a big upgrade. I would highly recommend them.

Hey Saturn - thanks for dropping by, very good review.

I am selling as I moved out of a small nyc apartment and now have my own room to practice my audio addiction.  I was selling off some old stuff to fund some full range floor standers.  I enjoy tweaking but sometimes better to just enjoy.  I just sold them and feeling some remorse.  They were great, and at the 1300 price point (with sealed subs) just amazing.

Congrats to whichever lucky person scooped these up. I was just about to recommend this pair to a guy who is thinking of upgrading his speakers in his Mac Mini-based system. Didn't think they would last, though. Not surprised that you got a quick sale.

Which floor standers are you considering?

The audition pair that was traveling around the country spent some time here with me, and I enjoyed them immensely.

The M1 is a one-of-a-kind monitor, a bargain at the retail asking price and a steal for this lucky new owner.

My M1s replaced a pair of floorstanders, just the opposite of what you're doing. ;)

However, I do have them paired with a killer sub (PSA Triax).  The combo makes for a killer system. :D

I was trying to justify buying yours for a second system (I live close enough to pick them up)...hehehe...but I really need to focus on other financial priorities right now.

Btw, have you checked out AJ's current offerings?

Looks nice Saturn.

Looking at a long list at different price points and signatures (or so I think)...hoping something knocks me out (if not going to feel sick losing the M1s):

- Tekton Pendragons
- Salk SongTower SC
- Zu Omen Def Mk.II
- Ascend towers
- SVS towers
- The Philharmonic 3s
- MartinLogan Theos
