I'm a long-term 7B-ST owner and have always used the monos to drive a pair of Thiel CS3.6; these were connected in parallel mode because of their low impedance. The Thiel's have only one set of terminals, so there's never been a need to ponder the use of bi-wire/bi-amp connections. I've recently acquired a pristine Mirage M3si pair and have initially connected them using the same single wire in parallel mode. They sound great!! However, the Mirage M3si has 2 sets of terminals (low and mid/high), so the bi-wire/bi-amp opportunity presents itself and I'm curious to try the different options.
My questions are as follows:
1. Since the Mirage impedance is 6 Ohm(nom), 4 Ohm(min), should I be using the 7B-ST in parallel or series mode when using single wire?
2. Does bi-wiring affect the choice of parallel/series mode?
3. Am I correct in thinking that to use the 7B series mode, I use the lower red terminals only and flip the mode selection to Series?
3. Can I bi-amp with the 7B-ST by using a two pairs of red & black terminals without bridging? If so, in what position should the series/parallel switch to set to?

Hi David,

1. Series mode for sure.
2. No difference
3. Yes the series mode uses the two Red terminals only and Series switch .
4. Two pairs of red and black has to be in Parallel mode.
