Any comparisons for MiniDSP, Hypex and Najda?
« on: 29 Dec 2014, 06:05 pm »
I'm looking into a purchase of one of these modules and am not coming up with a lot of reviews.

Anyone have any comments on any of these three?  Or maybe another I am unaware of?

I have a minidsp 2x4 that I use to create a subwoofer signal.  I combine left and right channels, and then apply high and low pass filters, it works well for that.

I'm not sure how it would sound for driving my main speakers.

However, I would probably try this guy if I was to buy something now.

The fact that you can modify the software is appealing to me, but I don't know how user friendly the software is.

The minidsp software is very easy to use to implement a crossover.

I did need to change the gain on the minidsp, but it was easy, you just remove the top and move a jumper.

I am looking for something with more track record and some projects behind it.

The freedsp looks like it will be a winner though.  Thanks.
