Hello.

I recently acquired Chris Botti's 'Italia' CD. I really like it. While listening to it the first time, I jumped up in excitement when track 6 began. I said to myself, "Self. That sure sounds like Dean Martin's voice." [It had been years since I'd heard his voice.] Sure enough, it was. I like his voice.

Anyway, I will find other Botti CDs to explore, and I'll probably search out a couple Dean Martin CDs. I'm curious what suggestions any of you might have for music that is similar to what Chris Botti makes, or his 'best' music. [Most of you have tons more experience with music than I do.] So....interested in Chris Botti CD recommendations; similar style music, and good/best Dean Martin CDs.

I like this hobby more all the time.

That song is off of the "Dean Martin" CD Forever Cool. The reason that I put it in quotes because it was made just a few years ago well after Dean's death.

I'm not a fan of new music but somehow, this effort was done really well. I'm impressed with the album. (Except Joss Stone's over-the-top vocals on I Can't Believe..."  )

Interestingly, on amazon the reviews swing between love it and hate it. People who don't like it love the originals from the 60's and earlier.

I'm not a monster DM fan but This Time I'm Swingin' looks like a winner.
