Face plate change vs warranty
« on: 10 Dec 2014, 01:24 pm »
Hi,

I'm looking for a used Bryston preamp, possibly more in the BP6 level (or the deal of a lifetime on a BP26 :D) and I see those pass by on various forums but in black instead of silver, in 17inch instead of 19...

I also see from time to time people selling only the "face place" of various product.

Since changing the face plate possibly means openning up the premap ourselves, does that affect or void the warranty ?

(Another quick question; are the face plate of the BP6 interchangeable with the BP26 ?)

Thanks for reading!

Have a nice day!

AJ

I just answered my second question.  Taking a better look at the two, the face place is different.

Should have check before posting...  My bad...

 :duh:

Hi AJ

As long as the change over in the faceplate does not cause the fault the warranty would be valid.
