Mint condition Golden Tube SE40 Class A SET Tube amp. Functionally and cosmetically perfect. Six new SED 6L6GC Winged C's and two NOS 1960's Sylvania JAN 6SN7 VT-231 tubes are included. The VT-231's are from Brent Jessee Recording and the Winged C's are from the Tube Store. These tubes alone cost me over $700. This amp has the full Loc Vu mods and special wiring as well.
This amp has a 24k gold coated "one a a kind" custom machined faceplate (which was over $500 alone). The stock faceplate is also mint, and included. The 24k gold faceplate has the exact same dimensions, fastening points and accepts the same fastener sizes as the original. The 24k faceplate and original are completely interchangeable with the four stock fasteners and can be switched out easily. I can ship the amp with either faceplate installed. I would recommend shipping the 24k faceplate and tubes in a separate box and the amp with the original faceplate in another box for optimum protection. Both boxes will be double boxed with professional pre cut foam packaging (not bubble wrap or peanuts). I cover New England for business so delivery may be possible if discussed in advance.
An original tube cage and fasteners are also included. These are VERY RARE.
This amp has the current and max reliability kit/mods by Loc Vu. This was professionally done this summer and cost over $600 installed. The additional special copper wiring was another $200.
Documentation can be provided if necessary to confirm all the costs I paid are accurate and the tubes are new.
Considering all the upgrades this class A tube amp has, I feel my asking price is very fair.
Everything will be sold together to the new owner. I will not split up the faceplates or tubes so please don't ask.
