One of the very best amps ever produced by VAC, a true powerhouse and built like a tank. When new, it sold for $18,000, and some folks still consider it to be VAC's masterpiece. It is not only amazingly musical, but also powerful enough to drive even the most demanding speakers.
Less than a year ago, I had it completely retubed with a full octet of brand new 300Bs and a quartet of 6SN7s, all carefully matched and chosen by the good folks at VAC. I would estimate that these tubes have no more than a couple hundred hours on them, if that. The tubes alone are a $1700 value, which makes this a stunning deal.
Buyer pays shipping charges and 4 percent if you want to use Paypal, or I will gladly accept a check or money order and will ship the unit via UPS as soon as your check clears. If you live within driving distance of western North Carolina, you are welcome to arrange to pick it up. If I do ship it, I will, of course, remove all the tubes and ship them in a separate box.
