**SOLD** FS: 2009 Mac Mini **SOLD**
« on: 17 Aug 2014, 03:53 pm »
For sale is my 2009 Mac Mini.  It's all in great condition and ready to bring years of playing music to your room.

As you can see below, included in this sale are:
2009 Mac Mini with 8GB RAM and 120GB OCZ SSD (Part # MB463LL/A - Model # A1283)
Original Switching Power Supply and box
Snow Leopard Install Disc
P.I. Audio MacSandwich
Apple Monitor Adapter

Since I will wipe the drive and start over anyway it's your choice whether to have Snow Leopard or go to Mavericks.  I recommend Mavericks but it's your choice.  I don't really want to sell it but I'm not using it and it's too good to just sit here and go unused.  It has provided me with years of trouble free use and is still the desired Mini by many.

This whole package delivered to your door for $375 with PayPal.

What's not included in this sale is 24/7 support.   ;)

If anyone is interested in breaking up the package, I may be willing to buy the LPS as a standalone item.

I have a Logitech Transporter thats done well for me over the past few years.  It feeds (digitally) a Lyngdorf system so I use the DAC in the Lyngdorf for conversion.  Have you compared a Mac mini setup to a Transporter before?  I'm interested in switching to a computer based digital front end but would love to know if it would be a considerable improvement or if it allow me to do things I cant already (I guess 24/192 counts but I dont have that many files in this resolution, a fair amount of 24/96 stuff which the Transporter can stream fine).  Thanks for any help.  I assume I could control the Mac mini from an ipad.

Cheers,
scott

I have never compared the two.  Yes, you can control the audio software (JRiver, iTunes etc) from any iOS device.
