The Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art is hosting David Bowie is - a huge retrospective of the career of David Bowie. I just went to the show this afternoon and it follows David's career from childhood to his last album, it is amazing. Many,many of his costumes along with explanations about the designs and designers fill the entire 4th floor exhibit space. Headphones automatically change music when going from display to display. Allow about 2 hours to take in everything.
The exhibit runs until January 4, 2015 and Chicago is the only museum in the US that will have the show, after Jan. 4th the exhibit travels to:
Philharmonie de Paris/ Cité de la Musique, Paris, France from 2 March to 31 May 2015
Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), Melbourne, Australia from 16 July to 1 November 2015
Groninger Museum, Groningen, The Netherlands from 15 December 2015 to 15 March 2016
