How does the Heathkit mpx adaptor work, performance wise?
I ask because I thought I read somewhere that it was designed for the Crosby mpx system, not the Zenith mpx system that the FCC made the standard for FM Stereo broadcasting in the US in mid-1961.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't check the board that often.

I am gathering information for your question, I do have some official Heathkit document, or bulletin to show how to use the AC-11 for either type of these systems. It'll take me awhile to post them, stay tuned.

Here are the two types of MPX that the AC-11 supports. I am not sure if they are the Crosby/Zenith types. This is straight out of the Heathkit bulletin for customers who want to use the AC-11 on tuner that didn't have a MPX output.

There are also pictorial and written procedures on how to make modified connection to get MPX out of many other brands of tuners. I simply don't have the time to post them all.

Heathkit was very thorough on their procedure, unfortunately, those days are long gone.
