A modern intricately plotted Middle Eastern spy drama that unfolds slowly over 8 episodes, more like a John le Carre novel than a James Bond movie. Each episode reveals a little more of the plot, like a spy discovering bits of seemingly unconnected information and suspecting they all fit together but not knowing how. Everyone has secrets but who to trust? The tension builds with each episode.
I enjoyed it, the season 1 storyline was resolved in 8 episodes with no cliffhangers. The characters were complex and well developed; although not quite at the same level as True Detective it's a close second.
