I’m trying to reach the maximum of the sound source for my hifi system using an ipod.
I use an
ipod 6rd Gen 120 Go, a
Pure i20 dock (24 bits, 192 KHz), and
ALAC 24b/96KHz files.
As I understand, the
ipod socket (30 PIN) send the audio signal from the
ipod to the dock.
Thereafter, the
i20 dock seems to send signal received to the DAC, convert it to analog, then send the signal via RCA audio cables to my amp.
My question is very technical, but does the dock receive an analog signal (from PIN 3 and 4) or a digital signal form the
ipod ?
If it is a digital signal, do you known which PIN is used ? Can’t find reference ?
If it is the analog signal, what is the DAC source as the DAC works on digital first ?
