For sale: An excellent condition AAD S160 subwoofer in maple finish. Msrp on this sub is $1000.

Here's a description from their web site: The S-160 utilizes a bi-polar high-current AB class amplifier and high excursion 10” woofer, all of which are AAD’s proprietary designs rather than out sourced “off the shelf” components. Enclosure is of multi-layered MDF and precision braced and damped to eliminate the low frequency smearing effects of cabinet resonance. Its beautiful, asymmetric shape adds to the strength and rigidity of the enclosure while its sleek, wood veneered outer skin makes it attractive enough to blend into numerous decorum settings, instead of being just a “boom box in the corner” subwoofer.
The front mounted controls make it very easy to blend with the Magnepan 12Qr speakers. In fact, I think it's the easiest sub I've owned as far as blending. The condition is excellent as the pictures show. There are a couple superficial marks along the bottom and a barely visible mark on the top.
I have the original box, manual and power cable. Asking $300 + split shipping from 46112.

The sub is 20.5' high, 19' deep, and 12' wide. It weighs right at 50 pounds. As for the age, I purchased it from the original owner and did not ask that question. He did state though, it had only been used for a few months. The S160 was a match for his AAD monitors which he sold and then no longer used the sub.

Here's a quote copied from his ad, "I used it in a 2.1 system with S-1 monitors (Stereophile recommended). Now the monitors are sold and I no longer need this very musical sub.
It has been played gently for a few months and always taken care of.
