How's the sound quality compared to other Unplugged greats like Nirvana and Alice In Chains?

I don't know; haven't heard them, but Rhino usually does a pretty good job.

Hmmm, that's pretty tempting.  I happened to snag an unopened REM Document DVD-A for $5 at a thrift store.  But I just bought a Mo-Fi vinyl the week before so I never opened it.  :D

Couldn't get the combined LP set at the  last record store day, so bought the CDs instead. Sound is pretty good (I prefer the older REM stuff, before they got too famous). Ordered the MyPlay LPs, so will be able to compare.  Good price considering the RSD gougers on eBay, and the current lists at $40 each set.

Let us know how they compare. I'm with you, I like early REM when they were on the I.R.S. label, although Out of Time and Automatic for the People are pretty good. After that, meh.
