mislabeled vinyl: boon or bane?
« on: 10 Aug 2014, 12:11 pm »
So I just received a new unopened MoFi copy of  Flag by James Taylor. One side is mislabeled. The music is correct but the label is for another JT album (Dad loves his work). What does this fault do to the value of this disc: increase, decrease, or no change?  Should I return it, keep it or frame it?

Thanks,

Mark

Not much to add here but I often wondered the same thing.  I have a Lynyrd Skynyrd LP (Second Helping) where the labels are reversed (side "A" is side "B" ).  I bought it new a long time ago and didn't even think of the value. I am sure the quality control those days were probably lacking.

Better off with a 1955 Lincoln penny double die obverse!
