HELP with Meadowlark Blue Heron 2 tweeter removal?
« on: 17 Jul 2014, 01:33 pm »
Hi:

This is my first posting here.

I'm seeking guidance on how to remove a blown tweeter from a Meadowlark Audio Blue Heron 2 loudspeaker without damaging the cabinet. A forum member who sold a pair a while back indicated that he'd replaced his, so mgalusha, if you're out there, I'd love to hear from you! I'm unable as a new member to send a private message to Mike.

There are six T-15 screws around the perimeter of this ScanSpeak tweeter. I have replacements at the ready but I can't get the old one out. There is no access from the rear of the loudspeaker cabinet where the crossover is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Larry

Use a hook scriber or similar tool. Put it through one of the holes and hook the back of the flange, you should be able to ease it out.
