No, I don't think so.  Vandersteen uses 6dB slopes and physically offsets the drivers.

Nope and nope.  Neither does the inductor provide any (appreciable) time delay.  The answers here will be no different here than on your post on DIYaudio.com. 

The reason some manufacturers physically offset drivers and claim "time alignment" is because that's the way you have to do it.
