Anyone getting these?  Are they AAA?
Are they "better" than stereo?

Not sure if they'll be any better but I'm going for it. The only way for me to afford The White Album in mono.
Prices for an original are outta sight.

I am in also. Anyone know of a price-watch on the preorders? I'd like the best deal.

Five years to the day after the release of The Beatles in Mono, a box set of the group's monaurally mixed catalog through 1968, the band is issuing a vinyl version of the box set. Although the quartet put out stereo versions of their albums concurrent with the mono ones throughout most of their career, The Beatles considered the mono versions as definitive.

The limited-edition 14-LP Beatles in Mono vinyl box set includes the group's first nine U.K. albums – from Please Please Me to The Beatles – the American-compiled Magical Mystery Tour and a collection of Mono Masters, which consist of non-album singles and tracks, all on 180-gram vinyl with artwork matching the original releases and a 108-page hardbound book. Each mono LP will also be available to purchase individually, outside of the box set.

Best pre-order price I've seen so far is $337 from Soundstage Direct. Amazon is asking $400.

according to this article,
Quote
The albums, pressed on 180-gram vinyl, will be newly mastered from analogue tapes, not digital, and feature the original reproduced artwork.

I'm all in. I have the MoFi Collection black box which were pressed from the original master tapes (except MMT) in Japan and the Parlophone British blue box which I understand are Parlophone/Apple second pressings.

Just ordered my set from my B & M store in Spokane. He quoted me a price of $350. Always prefer to buy locally whenever possible.

I pulled the plug on this today!

https://madmimi.com/p/ede8f4?fe=1&pact=23394666325

On sale today only, 354 + 3 dollars shipping.
I have successfully ordered from Hot Tracks before.
Did not particularly care for them sitting on my PayPal purchase money though...

OK, I'm over it now.

My thoughts too. And they are AAA! Can't wait.

I am thinking to pre-order only a few albums, not a whole box, but I have 0 experience with the Beatles vinyl. Any recommendations on the sound of each album would be greatly appreciated.
Considering the LZ re-issues and now these MONO albums being reissued-- one could say that vinyl is BACK!

Hey!

Finally they doing this right! They should have done this with the stereo version also, that was a waste of master tape playing time just to do digital only.

Anyway, just placed my order on Sound Stage Direct with 10% off during 4th of July Day sale!

Take care,
