This post is a preview of my next audio adventure;
that will be made up of several posts as the project progress
and as usual, it will be filled to the rim with ups and downs, but probably more downs than ups and some (Sexy) photos.
My vinyl spinning machine (Turntable)
will be up-graded with a PDR linear arm.
That’s the one, yes, it comes in a kit form.
The kit, is on the way to planet Vietnam via The Canadian Turtle Fly by night Transport Company
(It was sent to my wife’s name, because if it was sent to my name, the custom officers might say that Mr. Guy 13 as enough stuff to be called a capitalist and communist and capitalist don’t go well together.)
To that (Mega) project a new (Probably solid state) phono pre-amplifier will be ordered from ? ? ?
if he is interested in my business.
Up to now, sure does not look like that.
Here is my (Black, yerk…) Rega P3 fitted with it’s original; RB-301 tone arm and it’s (Also) original Exact mm cartridge,
well not original anymore, because it was re-tipped by Soundsmith, because stupid me, has broken and lost the canter lever.
Included in that roller coaster project, I think I will paint the plinth a snow white… ?
Black is the color for the funerals !
I already found some hair size wires for the cartridge/arm and I was surprised that I could find it here on planet Vietnam.
The store where I bought it is like an Alibaba audio cavern, they have almost anything you can think of.
That’s all for now and until I get the PDR linear arm,
nothing much more I can write here.
