Excellent unit in perfect condition. Still current and retails for $400. I used and enjoyed it between my Squeezebox, ipod dock, and Wyred DAC 2. When used with jitter prone components (streamers and especially ipod docks), this thing helps A LOT, even with the (supposedly) jitter immune Sabre DAC chip. The sound is MUCH cleaner, more clear, with much better transients and overall detail, and works a treat with streaming services like Pandora. It is really surprising how transformative this little device is. The enhancement is EASILY heard. The upsampling option is nice to play with too, though I liked it best at standard resolution 44.1khz. I didn't find the device to make much, if any, difference when used with my Denon 1650AR transport however......likely because the Denon has low jitter output to begin with. Your milage may vary.
I'm letting this go because I'm looking to make a major upgrade to my DAC 2 (by upgrading it to the DSD SE with Femto clock) and I don't think I'm going to need the Monarchy unit any longer. As I got it here at a bargain price a little over a year ago, I'll return the favor and pass it along to the next person to try. $167.50 covers everything including shipping (within the US lower 48) and Paypal fee.
