grill question
« on: 7 Jun 2007, 05:05 pm »
First, your new site looks GREAT.  Caught me by surprise last evening.

In the process on making the grills for the A/V 3s.  I did receive the .pdf file several months ago and just now getting around to it. While it is straightforward about cutting and routing edges should I use 3/4 or 1/2 mdf?  I tried to avoid the question but couldn't find a previous discussion or a picture of a grill frame to guage the wood size.

Thanks.

I had all of ours made with 1/2" MDF.

Thanks.  Will work out nice as I had some 1/2" left over from the minimum purchse pre-cut panel size purchased for the internal bracing.

Incidently, when I did a search for "grill" trying to avoid the question, there was another thread where you gave a link to the .pdf file for the grill.  While I didn't need it, I noticed that the link is now inactive.  Probably happened with the restrcturing of the web site.  Just wanted to give you a heads up.

"...thought this was a thread on the latest and greatest grilling options"

I'm sure Danny could chime in with a good Texas barbeque sauce recipe too? :)
