Very nice, musical DAC from the fertile mind of Gilbert Yeung. It took $10,000 worth of MSB Analog DAC for me to want to upgrade.

Purchased as dealer demo a couple of years ago. Looks and functions perfectly. Gilbert doesn't say what DAC chip is used, but does indicate on the Blue Circle forums that it is R2R ladder type. This thing has a crazy overbuilt power supply and all the typical Blue Circle internal dampening. See product page here, including link at bottom to great photos:

I don't see $1295, but $1205 is listed as the price of the BC509 on their pricing link:
