Is anyone using Spotify on a Squeezebox Classic?
« on: 18 Feb 2014, 04:12 pm »
Having problems with using Spotify on my Squeezebox Classic. The SB has been boxed up for a couple years, but I unboxed it and put it into play. It will not load Spotify as an app to use. I noticed the mysqueezebox.com website is still active. I loaded the app on the website but it will not appear on my actual Squeezebox Classic. Any ideas?

I just went to the install page to see if it would work on my "classic" and I noticed a disclaimer that it only works on the "Touch" and "Squeezebox Radio" models.

Interesting. I didn't know SB and Spotify would work together. My SB3 and Duet have been idle for over a year.
Will it work with the Duet?

A guy by the name of Triode has created a third party plug-in. I will try it to see if it works.

I just started a trial with Spotify (needed a replacement for MOG) and had the same problem.  The 3rd party app works fine.  I had to reinstall Spotify to get it to work.
