Up for sale is a Conrad/Johnson clone preamp. This preamp is two years old, and has all high end parts that were used to make the unit. The preamp sports four 12AX7 tubes, and will easily drive any tube or solid state power amp with ease. I have used this with Threshold, Pass Labs, and several tube power amps, all with great results.
This preamp can accept 12AX7, 5751, and 7058 tubes. The 7058 is perhaps the best 12AX7 available, as long as the circuit does not require the center tap (which this does not). The preamp accepts two inputs, and has a mute circuit.
The amp will come with NOS 7058 tubes installed, and will include a spare quad of 12AX7 Raytheon Military tubes, along with a quad of GE triple mica 5751 tubes.
