A bit of clarification - the warranty is 10 years from last June, when the MK2 upgrade was completed.

My biased opinion, of course, would favor my speakers over any pair of 5's in existence, in pretty much any category you could name.  I really don't want to sell them, but my 9's will be ready soon and everyone says they are at another level or 2 above my 7's.  Plus, I really don't want to own very much more than 1000 lbs of VSA speakers at a time - my back can't take it... :thumb:

I'm a fan of the 5's.. relatively small footprint delivers in spades sonically and bang for the buck.  I believe ES at this site has integrated a sub to  his 5's with satisfying results.  I'm really looking forward to the scaled down version of the 100's Albert hinted at recently (VR66?).  Space and cosmetic appeal is a secondary consideration for me when choosing one of Albert's terrific line of speaker playback systems.

Mk2 vs Mk2, my opinion is if you have the amps and the room to fit the 7, do the 7. Again JMHO.

Yes I have indeed.  My VR5 Annies...Mk 1.5 I'm told by Albert...are mated with a pair of Velodyne Optimum-12s and before you turn your nose up regarding these subs you need to know that Jerry Seigel of 10Audio fame liked these better than....drum roll...the JL Audio subs.  Believe it or not the only complaints I have read regarding the Velodynes are HT guys that said they are "too tight" which of course is why they are ideal for 2ch systems.  The only reason I go on and on about these subs is that the favorite mantra of so many audiofools is that subs just don't integrate well in 2ch systems which of course if bullroar.  I like to think of my VR5s with the Velodynes as VR9's little brothers..
