Dennis Bergin/John Blaine

Hi all,
Just been doing some house cleaning and I came across 6 copies of Dennis Bergin playing the pipe organ at First Unitarian Church in St. Louis on June 14, 2007. For you who aren't aware of this concert, John Blaine recorded this concert as a Gateway Audio Society Reference Recording before his untimely passing. It was our hope at the time that we could begin releasing recordings he had in his vault (he recorded for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and recorded many concerts at Christ Church Cathedral.) The pieces are by Bach, Widor, Dupre, Messiaen, and Vierne. John had an uncanny ability to record pipe organs (and any music) in their settings with that "you are there" live sound to them. I've never heard pipe organs sound as "in your room" as his recordings.

Anyone who wants a copy, PM me.

Thanks,
Steve K

John was certainly a master at his craft. I will have to play my copy again, it's been too long since my last listen.

Got mine today, Steve.  AMAZING!    I wish my Dad were alive to hear it.  He loved that instrument!

Thanks!
